LAHORE: (Tuesday, September 09, 2025): Punjab University Department of Public Health organized it’s first-ever orientation as an independent department, marking a significant milestone in its academic journey. On this occasion, Incharge of Department of Public Health, Dr Nauman highlighted the department’s pioneering role in promoting preventive health measures. He emphasized the institute’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and empowering students to carry forward the proud legacy of Punjab University. He said that as part of the ceremony, students participated in affidavit signing and oath-taking, pledging to uphold the department’s code of honor, policies, and regulations. A digital walkthrough of the department was also presented, giving students a visual introduction to the facilities and layout of the department, he added.

Moreover, the faculty inspired the incoming students, urging them to take part actively in departmental activities and assuring them of the faculty’s full support throughout their academic journey. The orientation served not only to introduce students to the facilities and resources available in the Department of Public Health, but also to reinforce the importance of professionalism, ethics, and responsibility in their studies, ensuring they contribute meaningfully to the sustainability of the health sector in Pakistan.
