The Speaker said that in this digital era, social media has become one of the most influential tools shaping public opinion, culture, and behavior. While it holds tremendous potential for education, awareness, and positive communication, it also carries risks of misinformation, moral degradation, and social discord. Therefore, the role of the state in guiding the positive use of social media becomes not just important but essential, especially when viewed through the lens of the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. |
Mr. Khawar said that in Islam, the state is not only a political body but also a moral guardian. The Prophet ﷺ himself, as the Head of the first Islamic state in Madinah, took steps to promote truth, prevent harm, and protect society from falsehood and fitnah (chaos). |

It is the duty of the state to guide its citizens towards the responsible use of this power, following the noble example of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. |
