On April 7, 2026, a PhD thesis defense of scholar Saba Parvez was held at the Institute of Urdu Language and Literature. Her dissertation, titled “Literary Contributions of Radio Pakistan Lahore,” was supervised by Dr. Muhammad Kamran, with external examiners Dr. Rehana Kausar (Lahore College for Women University) and Dr. Sajid Javed (University of Sargodha).

The scholar presented her research through a multimedia presentation and responded confidently to questions. The examiners appreciated the quality of her work and declared her deserving of the doctoral degree.

Director Dr. Baseera Ambreen congratulated both the scholar and the supervisor, while faculty members and students actively participated in the event.
